two signboards, one brand

Melado by Guluna: What the Name Means and Where to Find It

Same recipes, same kitchen, same prices. Only the board above the door is different.

The short answer

Melado by Guluna is Melado. It is not a separate company, a sister brand or a copy. The ice cream comes out of the same central kitchen, the flavour list is the same, and the prices are the same as every other Melado branch in Pakistan.

If you searched for a Melado by Guluna menu or price list, the menu on this site is the one you want. Nothing changes between the two names except the signboard.

Where the name comes from

Guluna is the name of Asim Kamal’s daughter. Asim Kamal is the TikTok creator most people associate with Melado, and he is the brand’s ambassador. He is not the owner of the company: Melado is owned and operated by Prime Industries Private Limited.

A number of franchises in Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa trade under the Melado by Guluna name. Everywhere else in the country the branches are simply called Melado.

Why a franchise would carry a second name

This happens in food franchising more often than people think. A local operator who already has a following in their own city sometimes carries a local name alongside the brand name, because in that city the local name is the one people recognise first.

What matters for a customer is what does not change: the recipes, the supply, and the price list. None of those are decided by the franchisee. There is more on how that works in how Melado keeps every branch tasting the same.

The Peshawar branch

Melado by Guluna in Peshawar is at B1, Old Jamrud Road, near Bitani Plaza, University Town. It opens at 12pm and runs until 2am, which is later than most Melado branches close.

Directions and the map pin are on the Peshawar branch page.

What to order there

The board is identical to every other branch, so the same advice applies. Kulfa Delight at Rs 150 is the flavour that tells you whether a shop’s dairy base is real. Choco Kunafa Pistachio at Rs 200 is the most ordered Premium flavour. If you are ordering one thing for a table, make it a thick shake.

The full board with rates is on the menu page, and the complete price list is broken down in the Melado price list.
